Woman of the Year 2019 – WBP won!
On December 9, 2019, our co-founder and CEO, Antonella Santuccione-Chadha, was awarded Woman of the Year 2019 by Women in Business Switzerland. This is an incredible recognition of her passion and dedication to her work, and to the mission of the Women’s Brain Project (WBP).
Women in Business published an exclusive interview, which you can read here.
She explains what drew her to gender-based medicine, the challenges within brain and mental health, and her journey from an idyllic village in Italy to Zurich.
The award was allocated via a votation which Women in Business Switzerland’s readers and the broader public could partake in, casting their vote for one among the 100 selected women who distinguished themselves for the work they are doing in Switzerland in economy, politics, culture, science, and technology.
The premation was at the Grand Dolder Hotel, and was sponsored by Gubelin, BMW, Sisley, and Julius Baer. The event was attended by 200 Swiss decision-makers.
As a wonderful bonus, in Italy, the news of Antonella Santuccione Chadha winning Woman of the Year went viral! Some of the key media coverage included:
- La Stampa “In Svizzera la donna dell’anno: è una scienziata italiana che combatte contro l’Alzheimer“
- Alley Oop “Chi sono le italiane che hanno lasciato il segno nel 2019?“
WBP is honored to have been featured by Women in Business via one of our inspirational leaders, and look forward to continuing our work in 2020 and beyond.
