Dr. Britton is a psychologist and neuroscientist, lead PI of the Panama Aging Research Initiative (PARI-HD) program at INDICASAT AIP, a biomedical research institute in Panama. PARI-HD conducts cohort studies that examine biological and sociocultural markers of memory impairment in older adults, with a goal of identifying biomarkers of healthy and pathological aging for improving early diagnosis of dementia.

Our focus is on age-related cognitive impairment, including its progression to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. PARI-HD is funded by the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (SENACYT) of Panama and the EU-LAC Interest Group, a group of funding agencies from LAC, EU Member States and Associated Countries.
