Emina is a neuroscientist with professional experience in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs Scientific Communications at Roche Diagnostics. Her academic work focused on the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration, where she investigated disease-relevant processes related to prion disease.
Following her academic training, she transitioned into industry, where she gained experience working across science, communication, and regulatory processes. Her work included clinical and scientific evidence generation, medical risk assessment, scientific writing, publication planning and support, literature reviews, and the development of medical content across therapeutic areas including neuroscience, oncology, infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and women’s health. She has also been involved in organizing and supporting scientific events, interacting with healthcare professionals, researchers, and external stakeholders.
Emina is particularly interested in the intersection of neuroscience, women’s health, and precision medicine, as well as in leveraging innovative approaches to improve scientific communication, knowledge sharing, and education. She is motivated by contributing to strategic initiatives that advance the integration of sex and gender differences into neuroscience research and healthcare.
